Fishing Derby for Youth with Special Needs

Our Kiwanis club has hosted a fishing derby for 27 years! This is a fun day out for the youth, their families, and our volunteers. Supplies, awards and medals, t-shirts, and food are provided. Stay tuned for our next one (in June).

Little Free Library

Our Kiwanis club chartered and sponsored the Little Free Library at the Northwest Family YMCA. We keep it stocked with age and content appropriate books for youth and their families to take home. From the Little Free Library organization, “We believe all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege.”

Chicken BBQ Fundraiser

Our Kiwanis club raises funds for various non-profit organizations in the community through different type of fundraisers. Our Chicken BBQ is one of them. (Stay tuned for our next one!)

K-Kids Sponsor

K-Kids can provide opportunities for students to discover their desire to serve. When students discover their heart to serve, they decide that serving others is a new, exciting way of life. The service club experience at a young age can help students accept their own ability to make a difference, enhance their knowledge of their own passions and convictions, and develop their ability to empathize with those in need in their communities. Loose Change for Kids

We have been collecting loose change for kids since around 2006. If you see a can (pictured below), don’t be shy to put your loose change (or bills) in there. These are monitored closely by the staff and picked up/replaced frequently by Kiwanians. This change goes into our general fund to help various community service needs. Thank YOU for your continued support in this ongoing project.

Arts & Crafts Show Fundraiser

We have been hosting an Arts & Craft Show for a few years now. We have a variety of vendors and crafters from the local community. The funds we raise are then donated to a local organization in need. This is a FREE event to attend. Stay tuned for our next one.
